Bring back the sunshine, its cloudy and bloody freezing! 

After a low of -1.4°C..

Temp: 5.8°C - Hum: 76% - Dew: 1.9°C - Chill: 3 - 4°C - Bar: 1026.60hPa - Wind: NE @ 6mph.

Bloody freezing here too.  The fog cleared to reveal a thick blanket of cloud, what a contrast to yesterday! Spent most of the day sat on the tractor, so cold I resorted to hat and gloves and yet yesterday it was just a t shirt time. The joys of a variable spring eh.

Interesting to see that today's average temp is 3rd coldest this year, only January 19th & 20th beat it, due to lower minimums.

In similar effect to Mapantz's graph and to further illustrate how poor the winter was, today's 6.3c maximum was only lowered on 8 days throughout November until today!

I've been looking in all the on-line maps,even tried Google earth to find the place called "Earnest" on the Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset border. Must be damn small, that's all I can say, as none of them place-mark it.

[Evening thunder]

A cloudy chilly day with a max of 7.4C. Sky cleared after dark and the temp had dropped to -0.7C by 10:09pm, though it's now back to +0.6C.

Caught the 22:30 BBC forecast. On the local weather the map looked completely cloudy with spots of drizzle by 3pm tomorrow.. yet 2 minutes later the national forecast showed it still mainly sunny over Devon and Cornwall

The layer of Sc cleared after midnight so this morning is fine with clear skies. Temp 3C and a light breeze from the ENE.
