You can see quite clearly where the upper temps start mixing out..

The current 850's tie up pretty well with the latest GFS too.

So close yet so far :wallbash:

Saying that -2 uppers are not impossible to achieve snowfall but doubtful in this case.

Nice to see my area within a yellow warning! Believe it when I see it though as this region seems to repel all interesting weather!

Looks like even us in the NE of the region won't get any snow - looks like it's heading well East of here.

Yes...and as per it's stalled on the Cotswolds and looks like it's breaking down . Temperature rising slightly here which I wasn't expecting

Really frustrating because the latest gfs run for Monday stalls the front right on the money. Just a shame it's most probably going to be rain.

Swanage today. Not the gin clear skies that we were promised, but nice all the same...

Found a dolphin skull on the beach though. That made up for it. :)

I think I'm going to confirm this cold spell over (only started last night). A few days of standard January weather does not a cold spell make!

Gutted things have backtracked today. Was hoping for some snow on our weekend away.

have to say I'm quite proud of myself for conquering the outdoor plunge pool today to please the kids :cold: jeeesus Christ! The things I do to entertain them!

If it can go far enough east that it just stays dry here I would be quite happy with that. Snow or dry are my preferences.

I don't normally moan about the weather, but even I have limits......what an utterly pants excuse of a 'cold spell'........a couple of frosts, a couple of chilly days and some drizzle do not constitute a cold spell IMO :blink2:

Utter disaster.. two weeks of hype and hope to be left with one light/moderate frost. :wallbash:

Heading for a hatrick of rubbish winters too is it the 90's again? :cc_confused:

I'm in the middle of the latest met office yellow warning for snow tonight but BBC forecast has rain for my area.  Hopefully BBC web site is not as up to date as met office warning?

That bit of precip in NW Wales would be our best chance of a dusting somewhere  tonight looking at the track of the showers, no doubt it'll fizzle out though.
