Evening all, been poorly today, the evils of working with little children! Germs!  So not been out, not sure what it's doing but it feels warm!  Maybe it's my temperature!!

I may not know much about meteorology but I have not given up hope, through laymans eyes it seems it is actually very difficult to know what's coming! Much like general life! It can throw you all sorts of things!

takeaway curry tonight, whiskey and early bed!  Happy weekend!  :drunk: X

Morning all, looks like spring might be closer than we thought! The models show the euro high close to the south of the UK in fact for the majority of the 00z run we are under it while the north takes the brunt of the bad weather. Could be some very very nice days with temps into the teens!! So not all hope is lost!

Bit of rain later tonight perhaps heavy for a time then a bit of cloud tomorrow some sunny spells. It could be a lot worse that we have mild cloudy days. But looks like it could be pretty dry and sunny of course with any systems that do push into north cloud could be an issue.

No real change for the next 10-15 days showing with the jet slamming lows into the UK but our part of the world does see the best of any weather here in the UK.

Morning Surrey & morning all.

Lovely sunny start here, small chance of hitting double digits if sun stays out but expecting some fog to roll in later.

Tomoz cloudy and perhaps a foggy start but very mild indeed. We need to keep an eye on Wednesday could be quite a gusty rush hour.

Has anybody seen this? Nice little tool, especially for new members trying to make sense of the pressure charts and wind directions etc? http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_3d.php?lat=47.13&lon=55.12&ech=240&zoom=6

Graphics in itv weather last night had fog on the south coast from after tonight's rain onwards, no surprise though as the waters quite cool and the air is warm.

Hello all, hope you had a good day :) feeling quite mild out compared to recently.

Certainly a mild day in store today (Sunday), just might have to put with mist & fog patches.

You were not wrong, thats for sure, It is really mild for this time of year. From inside it looks cold and damp...open the door and its quite a shock how mild it is, already 11.5 degrees. Will be interesting to see what temps can be achieved if the Sun makes an appearance later on? Have a nice day all!

Been foggyball day here, a wet damp fog, seem to be less thick now so may lift for a bit if lucky.

Since 2013 combined snow totals in winter 13/14, 14/15, 15/16 (leeway here).  I've barely had an inch or two that is unsettling, yet those yanks have probably seen in one single event more than what I've seen cumulatively in over a decade sorry state of affairs, exceptionally mild again currently registering at 15C, overcast & damp as well! I must say the past 3 winters have been appaling three's a crowd! :nonono::nonono::nonono:

Well the models are toying with diffrent ideas, but seriously I would be shocked if we don't see atleast one snowfall event before Feb ends.. Some cold blasts showing on the models :)

PM blasts are not satisfactory, as we commence into the last week of January all is not lost.

Still plenty of time, 6 weeks or more check out the last frame of the GFS 06z run. Although massively FI there is hope

And prior to this Friday is not without interest? Models keep toying with the possibility of it being a tad windy in our region. One to keep an eye on in the next few days as the models firm up on details.

Trouble is, winter has always been out in F1 and when F1 arrives, winter is pushed out to F1 again.:cc_confused: Three mild winters in a row is nothing unusual though, it will be the turn of the cold winter cluster soon.:drunk-emoji::reindeer-emoji:

Lovely spring day today.

If we can't get anything within the next 5/6 weeks, then roll on Spring.
