Maybe that small low is going to cause some problems, have a look at  XC over S Ireland, the winds have increased again over the last hour or so - http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

ECM 00z pressure chart for 6z this morning and gust chart for 12z, 60-65kts in places as it zips NE, strange no mention of it on any TV broadcasts but haven't seen any today...

Euro4 also showing a short lived period of severe gales from this little feature.

Amazing on the day and the differences...

Latest Satellite image, Frank up near Iceland and looks very impressive... But also that little low SW of Ireland stands out, cloud head developing a hook in the circulation.

It's rougher here than i thought it would be..

Regular 40mph > gusts on my stations and a 30mph average.

I'm still in bed, windows wide open and staring at the weather station. lol

Winds easily at their strongest here now, in the middle of Tipperary. An old heavy wooden table out the back that's remained steadfast during all the storms so far has just been completely flipped over!

The NetWx-SR hi res model is way out with current wind gusts over S Ireland from that low.

Still blowing a gale here and the living room sounds like someone's playing a recorder as it gets pushed through all the tiny gaps in the windows from the S/W, Love the sound of it.. At least no waters getting through!

Looks like Cumbria is having a very lucky escape so far I can't see us getting the 120mm forecast now??

Possibly (or hopefully) but the vorticity charts are showing vmax PVA for those areas to last a while yet, and so any rainfall will pep up/stay heavy.

Rainfall seems to be stuck out west so it looks like things are moving slower than expected. Highest gust here 45 mph

Interesting line squall trying to form on the front.  We may actually get more than drizzle in a bit.
