Certainly enjoying this Spring. I had snow this morning! Let's hope this pattern continues into Summer.

would prefer it in winter, but too much to ask nowadays, Atlantic air dominates Dec to Early March

There is always a sad one. When are you moving to Siberia if you want cold?

I want some warm weather as I want to grow more stuff than weeds.

How rude! lol

I'll be moving as soon a possible :)   and it's just my opinion :)

My advice to you?  Don't get too hung up on something you can't change :fool:

Ok wrists slapped.

Still find it strange that anyone wants cold weather now. Happy for it during the winter months but now other thing to do.

Really hope the modelled warm southeasterlies come into fruition for mid May, a time when we can eaily get low to mid 20s from such a wind direction.

I want warmth living here over cold now, but if living in peak district I'd want cold, as I'd see proper snow

@I remember Atlantic 252 Nope, incorrect there yet again. This country's climate is not as simple as 'the weather does this then, and the weather does that then'. You should know that by now. If your theory were correct the CETs for October-April inclusive would basically all be the same...

Superb late april day of years of old well reminds me of may 1997.

Heavy snow and soft hail showers leaving a covering, with superb clouds and light winds except when the showers come 4.7c currently.

Correction that was early may6th/7th 1997 it was the snowy soft hail may I was thinking of,may 1995 was mid to later snowy.

Only just over a week later to now.:)

Of course a big fat high pressure's going to arrive at work Tuesday - Friday and change to washout lows in time for the weekend, mark my words. Always happens, never get a high arrive for a weekend these days :nonono:had to suffer sitting in 10c last Saturday to get some sun!

In fact can see it now, 20c next Friday then washout Saturday!

Yep would be typical lol but still a lot of uncertainty about next weekend. Hoping warmth and sun hold on. Makes me laugh how this recent cold spell came about exactly as modelled when unwanted by most, in January it would have been shunted E quicker than the Eurostar!

As I said a few weeks back I fear for a lot of people come winter if we see a wet summer....not just the usual suspects being flooded come November if the worst case scenario happens i.e wet winter/wet summer/wet winter combo.

I'm looking forward to a splendid, warm and sunny Summer after reading that.

I'll tell you why..

I'd place a large sum of money on February coming in below average CET wise.....maybe around the 3C mark.

Everything crossed this comes off and much of the next 5 months are warm and sunny, with some cracking storms!

Oh what joy this morning, woken at 6am by the gentle dawn chorus of the council cutting the grass outside my house and the slow dribble from my nose after about 5mins of continual sneezing. How can anybody not love this time of year!

Have you forgotten to take some anti-histamines then? You should have the window closed if you suffer from hay fever. Wouldn't hear the grass being cut then. I envy you your council...cutting grass at 6am on a Sunday? Send them here! Lucky if ours cut it twice a year.

Can't take anti-histamines due to being diabetic, need the windows open to keep the bedroom cool,so stuck i'm afraid in this awful season, next 2 to 3 months are a nightmare, really hate them. Long for autumn already!!

Pretty rubbish Sunday so far with persistent rain and breezy conditions, despite that the temperature is higher than it's been for some days @ 10°C but not feeling all to pleasant atm. A significant warm up as we move through this week with potential for temps into the mid 20's for some and mid to high teens quite widely, feeling humid with it and a risk of thunderstorms later on.
