Circumzenithal arc ....... apparently

I saw this and snapped it through a car sunroof which made it much more visible than with the naked eye.

Didn't realise it was that unusual but was on BBC news site today!

Glad I saw it.

Good spot!  I would imagine the sunroof acted much like sunglasses with cloud iridescence?

Yep, when viewed out of a side window it was very pale but with the misuses shades on and looking daft, I could see it very clearly

Yes, good spot.  In fact this is one of the best times of year to spot a circumzenithal arc on a day with light cloud.  This is because they are brightest when the sun is about 22 degrees above the horizon, which happens for prolonged periods either side of midday around this time of year.
