Only 200 days? Great! Tour 1 for me this year. What do they say about the words early bird and worm? I hope that comes true, although doesn't quite go hand in hand with storm chasing I don't think! :-)

Go Team Tour 4 :)

THis will be interesting to see a vegan hemmed in by a bunch of meat eating hungries, travelling through the USA with Pit stops at the best restaurants, aka local garages.

May the force be with you..

So they don't don't sell fruit, veg, nuts, crisps, gaucamole, hummus in the these places? lol  I've been to USA three times, over 20 states I will be fine :)  I can always stock up lots in Denver and then Walmarts as we travel.

Plus I have my 'Happy Cow' app on my phone which tells me veg friendly places in the vicinity.

Yeah, you should be fine, and I imagine Paul S will be quite pleased to try some different food after 30 days on the road, eating the usual stuff :D

Having seen what he's eating at the moment, it will be a change to see him on fruit, veg, nuts, crisps, gaucamole, hummus

So looking forward to T4
Have booked Days Inn [edit] at DIA for the night of the 9th already.
Flights seem quite reasonable at the moment with the BA flight at £587

Chris

[EDIT] - ended up paying £507 return from Manchester via LHR

I think 30 days of Subway and CrapDonalds is enough to drive anyone loopy.

Meanwhile, going through the photos and vids from my tour this year, miss it and can't wait for next year! Just over 6 months to go now! The stand out memory for me...(strong language ahead, for very good reason!):

The sound will stay with me forever.

NB Its Days Inn @ DIA not Aurora! stayed there this year, not great but will give a good idea of what you're in for for the next 10 nights! A couple of good eateries ( not sure about vegan options ) in short walking distance. Saw 2 funnels the first morning when waiting for pickup

What Nick said!

leave some for us!

I'm sure there'll be plenty for every tour. With El Nino having the effect on the world weather it is I reckon next year could be a bigee for every tour. Lets hope so anyway! :-)

So in 6 months time tour 2 will be well under way. I have a feeling the time is really going to drag between now and May! Other than the staff, who else is going to be on tour 1?

Hey Gee, Nick,

Nice to meet you.

I will be flying out on the 27th from Heathrow on the 1030 with Virgin (taking a Delta connect from Detroit) and I will be staying in the recommended hotel, the Best Western Irving by the airport.

What are you doing?

Cheers,

Tom
