Was just about to post this, the cam used to be stationary and fully zoomed out so that you can view all of the skyline,i don't like all this zooming in and moving about

the Milan cathedral cam isn't online either which is a shame as that has sound on it.

Yeah it was much better as a stationary cam! Would’ve been perfect at the minute. Barcelona could shape up to be good later on too. Level 2 from estofex in force for that area today!

I will be constantly checking LM and the webcams for N Italy tomorrow - that area is favourable for severe and supercellular thunderstorm development. Could get very interesting...

I cannot see any developments to the west of Barcelona but still early yet, there is a storm to the north of there and may come into view of the NE cam

a snippet from Estofex for this evening/overnight.

In the evening and overnight, synoptic lift ahead of the trough and mesoscale lift from outflow boundaries erodes the cap. Convection can then also propagate to coastal and offshore areas, especially if it manages to grow upscale into an MCS. Despite some drier and cooler air gradually moving south from France, the CAPE reservoir may be big enough to allow a storm system to graze or even hit the Balearic Island until the end of this forecast period. Next to the other mentioned risks, tornadoes become possible when storms move over the maritime boundary layer with its abundant moisture and enhanced low-level shear.

Amazing how quickly things can develop down in that part of the world. Once that cap erodes, it properly goes boom!!

Lightning flashes visible on this cam:

https://www.webcamtaxi.com/en/spain/barcelona/sagrada-familia.html

That webcam is probably my favourite in the whole city. Placed in the perfect position and usually when there is an overhead storm, the tower to the left of the cam can sometimes be seen producing upward lightning.

Storm near Genoa is going off the chain! Going to be a very good day for N Italy today. Wish I was there!

Seems to be a small storm surge happening too, just SE of Genoa...

Well it could certainly be a big day for N Italy today! A particularly dangerous setup is in place. If I was in Italy storm chasing, I would firstly position myself south of Lake Garda (Mantova/Goito would be good) and then travel NNE towards W Veneto and into Trentino-Aldo Adige.

That storm near Genoa is backbuilding and is not showing any signs of stopping.
