Almost constant lightning here in Bexleyheath, thunder is quite distant though.

Seeing some lovely overhead stuff and then flashes from over the sea in the distance. Beautiful.

Sferic detected near Exeter - isn't that area behind the cold front now?

It is very breezy is there a reason for this? Lots of IC Lightning illuminating the night sky white.

Insane CGs raining down over Croydon now, wow, camera rolling

There's 3 disctint cells as the moment. One over West London, one over Bromley/Dartford way, and one north east of Romford.  One just forming over Mitcham now as I type.

I've seen a couple flashes and very distant thunder in Exeter, looking at the radar there is a patch of rain to the west, may side sweep us, hopefully it doesn't

The lightning here is just going on and on! One of the longest displays I've seen for years.

about time for you map antz, I see your posts and you're now in the firing line, had one rogue flash in Exeter earlier but you deserve to see a decent storm, now when's it Exeters turn?

I think that Bournemouth cell is heading due north and so is set to hit Derby if it survives.

The lightening display is superb. Is this being picked up on radar? I'd be interested to know the strikes per minute. At least 30 by now. Still mainly high based storms. No hail yet, although heavy convective rain now. Seems to be developing overhead?

Our drains are overflowing like fountains. I just stood outside for a bit and it was like nothing I've experienced outside of the tropics in recent years. And the rain is warm!

Ha, stood on the doorstep watching too. Warm rain.

As big and brash as a Texas storm.

Between cells now...one to my west over London is kicking out amazing bolts every 2-3 seconds now literally
