Just been watching that Bournemouth cell from my garden, constant flashing but most of it was IC from where I'm looking

It is only 17C outside! Nevertheless frequent distant flashes are lighting up the sky to our south now!

I can tell you now, this is one of the finest thunderstorms I've ever witnessed, torrential rain, huge sized hail, flashing every five seconds both IC and +CG just simply wow Wow wow!!! Loads of video too!! What a storm

Away for a few days in Emsworth and seemingly missing all the fun in Croydon and too Far East for the excitement in Bournemouth :(

Family in Croydon tho saying it's pretty epic but has fallen quiet now.

Finally a couple of Flashes here now. Spoke Too Soon but still have my doubts on the overall picture.

Lots of lightning to the west, can see distant flashes from the Bournemouth beast and more a closer to here. Getting the first rumbles. Looking like it'll not be overhead but a good show so far.

Can also see an Anvil to the south east.

Edit: Anvil to the south east put out a lightning bolt not long ago but most activity is to the west.

Only 17° at 12:09? Lol. This is the UK, not Florida. That's a pretty warm night time temperature for the UK.

Storms abated here for now. Nice lightening display. The odd boom of thunder and some convective rain. That's it for the South East tonight I think. Night all. Hope you get what you wish for.

Almost constant lightning here in Bexleyheath, thunder is quite distant though.

Desperately hoping my new camcorder is picking this up ok...lightning is insane but the quality on the screen is a bit misty

Between cells now...one to my west over London is kicking out amazing bolts every 2-3 seconds now literally

Told you east of Heathrow.   :p  I've been filming in night mode with the GoPro 4K Black Edition, can't wait to see what the results show.   #storm#thunder and "The Lightning" All now trending across the UK.
