Whilst here just 20 miles from Cambridge it was warm and often sunny. Funny how localised our weather can be. Warm again tomorrow and warmer still on Saturday. Lovely.

30C being coined for Saturday, a huge change from what we have experienced.

Juicy?! :D

Do trendy places like Shoreditch get juicy weather while the rest of us get humid? How bizarre!

Talking of strange weather words (or made up)...there's misslemid here...misty, drizzle and humid.

Misslemid :D not heard that one before . What about frizzle, freezing cold with drizzle. Hope we don't get many frizzly days this winter. Is Shoreditch trendy? Feeling very muggy here, a bit like Peckham at night. 19c :shok: humidity 110% :shok:

A huge change indeed! Shame it's a one day wonder again. Would love a week of it to counter the grim week we've just endured. Really, enough of the cloudy drizzle now, please.

Yet another drizzly start here, but the radar confirms Carol's forecast that it will soon clear. Already warm and muggy at 19C and 94% humidity. For us weather freaks it's looking like an interesting weekend. Very hot and humid Saturday and a band of heavy rain and a small chance of a storm on Sunday.

NMM output this morning suggesting the following timing on Sunday afternoon:

SE corner 16.00 post-20040-0-35699900-1440140743_thumb.p EA by 22.00 post-20040-0-90973700-1440140754_thumb.p

CAPE/LI values are nothing to shout about at the moment (but they weren't the other week in the run-up), although the 700hPa Vertical Velocity chart does show more promise, particularly as the band of rain moves into Norfolk. One to watch as we get nearer.

19.00 post-20040-0-69392000-1440141192_thumb.p

I've got a personal interest in Sunday - to celebrate his birthday, the Landlord of my local is taking a crowd of us out on an old sailing barge Sunday afternoon, followed by a bbq and live band in the evening back at the pub. Oh dear....!!

Sun breaking through the clouds here quite often with blue sky visible amongst the clouds. Quite windy but reasonably warm, 22C currently. Come on sun! You can do it! Tomorrow looks fabulous, hope it comes off.

26c and  its not even properly sunny..........

Can some one blow up this Azores high and bring in a scandi high.

The thought of this Azores high ruling the roost for autumn and winter is very depressing.

Well today and tomorrow will make me happy. I like to cling to Summer with my fingertips. An Indian summer in September and October are fab for me.

High of 24.5 today and my station is forecasting shower later, is that right?

Can't complain about the humidity it's only 65% which isn't bad for here.

Managed to get to that 26.5c mark earlier! Recorded at 3:28pm :)

Looking at the forecast tomorrows cloud cover is expected to be 0% for the majority of the day, so I expect to hit almost 30c! :)
