Rain at first yesterday evening, clearing to the east by 2230 and then cloud clearing to allow a slight frost.

Clear and sunny to start this morning but Cu humilis have developed in the last hour.

The temperature continued to rise in to the mild category last night with further showery rain last night before clearer and cooler conditions spread from the west after midnight. ground frost developing before dawn. Sunny spells so far this morning, ground frost melting.

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday: 6.0°C

Minimum temperature overnight 2.1°C

24-hour maximum 7.8°C

24-hour minimum: -0.5°C

Minimum temperature on grass: -0.8°C

Maximum wind gust: (Midnight to Midnight) 25.0mph W

Rainfall total: 7.1mm

Clear spells overnight, widespread slight to moderate frost. High level cloud increasing from the west to mostly overcast by observation. Frosty. Rain set in by late morning, this moderate at times and turning to sleet. Feeling cold. The late afternoon saw the temperature rising to average levels with the rain turning lighter. windy.

Showers became less frequent as the morning progressed leaving a largely sunny afternoon though with a gusty wind
