Looks like your sitting under that show South of London

Yep, the distance vanished and it started to cover everything.. Shame it stopped as the sun is coming out :(

The next lot looks good

Atd agrees ...very little CAPE showing from GFS though.

If I stayed in Biggin Hill I would have been under that, unfortunately moving SW away from here.

There was only one very loud crack of thunder after the sky went very dark, very quickly. The snow stopped pretty fast too and now the sun's trying to come out!

My first thunder snow experience (albeit that dreaded wet snow!).

Really?? when? I mustve missed it.

Edit just seen, :(

Looks like a shower is just about to hit Crawley, not sure what it will be though! Let you know when I know!

EDIT - Rain - not quite cold enough yet or heavy enough to bring that snow level down

EDIT EDIT: Now sleety snow!

EDIT EDIT EDIT - Looks like I'm catching the edge of this one, I can see it's looking snowy to my south, looking towards Pease Pottage. Back to a sleety/rainy mix now but getting lighter.

Good cluster of snow showers upwind over the N Sea looking at the Euro radar, course takes them SW towards the Thames Estuary, winds turning more NE or even ENE over E Anglia now.

Yes Incredibly it got to 8.1c here about an hour ago, I would never ever have thought that possible with that the charts were showing last weekend, a pretty incredible temperature given the synoptics!

Now down to 5c with a Dewpoint of 1.6c, very sunny and the wind has now gone into the East North East :bomb:  :hi:

It certainly is!

Shower initiated to the East of Southend looks like it will hit Herne Bay soon, also the Southminster one to my North which looks like missing here to the West, still bone dry here doing our best to dodge the showers, but an incredible amount of convection going on here now!

Edit : Actually we might get the edge of the Southminster one, sky to the North East pitch black now as well

Moderate snow in Ashford, frustratingly blue skies appear just as it's starting to stick. Going to accumulate jack all if this keeps up!

*sigh* radar watch continues, more incoming at at least it looks quite potent, we need it more frequent though.
