Right must go to be now. Something is brewing looks to far west for me bit all good for some on the reason

It really is beefing up nicely, so I think that we will see ppn over a lot of the region, just wether it falls as snow is a different matter completely!

Temps and DP's have been flying up in a lot of places in EA, so there is definitely a warm sector in there.

Very interesting few hours ahead!

Can imagine some very worried people at the moment.. Potential for a disastrous commute for Greater London.

Yep this seems much more marginal than Monday night. The ice on the cars was prevelant. No ice tonight . However beeb talking snow as winds shift more easterly so if they say that then it must fall as snow. ........

Now it really is getting going, but still very worried about the temps... Unfortunately, right now it looks the wrong side of marginal for most, but the heavier ppn will help draw down any cold air up there.

Jesus . Explosion on the radar . Please fall as snow. I will obey my wife for 24 hours. I promise

Sno problem . That does not seem to be showers to me. More organised

Yep . Talking to myself . Makes sense that way. Edited that post because I said ice on cats not cars lol

Surface winds are offshore ahead of the precip. Temps looks just favourable for most IMO. The lightest precip may fall as rain. But a snow event looks most likely away from coastal fringes.

Dewpoints are just way too high, and seemingly rising with the ppn:

So very marginal at the moment, but if there IS cold air up there, it will help draw it down.

If only it was colder.

Last night when I went to bed, it was alittle frosty and showers were non existent.

Now the frost has gone, temp up to 1.5c and that mass of shower activity that has developed has surprised me. I think the heaviest ppn is going to miss me unfortunately, but it think it will be rain /sleet anyway.

What a waste looks like turning to snow higher parts NW of London as as it slides SW but looks mostly sleet

Heaviest falls looks like being 7 am so if it does turn to snow it's gonna be rush hour chaos

Had a look at the radar rather surprised, but not unexpected.

2C and a 0C dew point precip not far away...fingers crossed.

Impressive! proper intensification -

Morning all

Can someone help me understand this I'm a real weather novice! When you look at the meteox radar it shows lots more ppn in the North Sea but it's not showing on the other radars?

Is it really there or is thst what's already come in?

Temp 1.1

Dp -1.5

Well apparently there has been some light precipitation here for quite a while now. Trouble is it is bone dry outside in reality  :cc_confused:

^Many of the radars simply do not display any precipitation away from the UK mainland.
