That ppn still looks like it is heading towards central west country area, it would be a lovely surprise if it went through larger part of region :friends:

So...... whatever else happens, note it down in your diaries that on the 2nd February 2015 it snowed and briefly settled at the most southerly point in the UK aka the Lizard. I do suggest that fact alone is an intriguing one. Forecasts have gone largely as per my expectations from a few days ago but that previous statistic is the best one of all IMHO.

Not such a rubbishy mild spell after all, yet you, me and all and sundry in the netweather still request the following.

Greedy bunch aren't we but not as greedy as some I'd suggest.  :shok:

Any for little old me?

I'm sure you will get plenty :D

Does look like you might see a dusting though in early hours, just don't be greedy and keep it all.

Current radar - The pink is heading south west or south south west its hard to say

A quick NW v6 radar update for us all then.

I think things we begin getting interesting from 9pm onwards in the inland regions and maybe a fair few of us can get a small covering by then too.

It's definitely heading for us mate!

Your forgetting the Bristol snow shield will start to push it more south down through Wiltshire way I think :sorry:

I do think it will head more west than your arrows suggest though although probably not enough to reach somerset.

Hello Nights, I would be very surprised it if even reached our region . At present it is intensifying and spreading but most offthe time this winter these thing eithe fizzle out or just rain , now I don't think it would be rain this time round so the fact remains can it reach us!!!!

Okay here is the first at 6pm -

post-8911-0-79118400-1422907994_thumb.pn

And then 2 hours later -

post-8911-0-50774000-1422908009_thumb.pn

It looks like a more south west direction but I have a feeling it will veer slightly more south in next couple of hours. :cc_confused:

Offerman - I don't expect it to reach us I really don't but for my sanity I am but hanging on by a thread now so let me believe :hi:

Looking at the upper wind flow, you can see why it's moving south west.

The Bristol storm shield malfunctioned a few times last year I wonder if the snow shield will do the same,Netweather snow risk has gone from 70% chance of snow to 90% so could get something.

How about if we all get a battering and there's an upper trough moving southwest that's developing and none of the models have picked up on !

Back In the day that would happen aswel just not now !

Not far enough :wallbash:  :wallbash:

Only Somerset, Dorset and Bristol remain warning free in west country, phew I'm so glad we escaped that. :sorry:
