The centre of that polar low seems too far west to affect us after this band moving in now?

Just like the MO said :(

Yes. Set to track south wales and south west england.

I felt this would happen.

But it isn't?! arrghhh

The low is heading that way, but the ppn associated with it, on its eastern flank, is very much (at the moment anyway) heading in our direction!

It's just covered everything here, all wet surfaces now with a dusting. Falling as tiny flakes, but it's sticking to everything.

According to the radar we should have precipitation - yet there is nothing falling from the sky. Temps have risen a degree over the last hour - a tell tale sign precipitation isn't far away. Currently sty at 0.7 degrees.

Thanks to yesterday's and todays snow falls, number of days with snow falling is 10 and days with 6 days of snow cover. Most of the snow has been light with 1 inch the max cover..

Stopped now as the band has now passed over, but left a cover albeit thin, but readily settled whilst it lasted

If this is happening at sea level, with already wet ground and not particularly cold then it can happen anywhere in the region
