The sky is turning increasingly orange here, from the north-west. Snowmaggedon inbound!

this is incredible you are no more than 1km or something from my location and i have light drizzle

Crazy isn't it? Pretty heavy too, we've got a light covering already.

I was up the tower in work this morning (about 200m asl) and looking out over the region it really put in to perspective how sporadic and localised these showers have been today.

Hopefully there's a bit more substance to this band though.

The centre of that polar low seems too far west to affect us after this band moving in now?

polar low predicted to track way south of our region.

No significant snow for anyone in our region. Looks like the south west will benefit from a north westerly system and a polar low.

Is it April 1st????

It's quite frustrating on here tonight, whatever any one is saying about the Polar Low (or Low), if you look at the ppn, it is heading directly at us. This first area of ppn is being followed by the rest... regardless of what's forecast. If you see the latest ppncharts it also suggests the ppn moving over our region!

I asked Nick L on the Polar Low thread and he said that he thought I was too far East and North but anything which does fall would be snow but also said he couldn't rule out it hitting and the truth was that no one knows for certain yet.
