So its 0.8c at 2200 and 0.3c at 2300 at st bees head (its probably a little bit colder here) and its still sleeting under heavy ppn, strange stuff.

Its huge......

it might look huge, but that precipitation does not look altogether that heavy, the worry is that will push in warmer temperatures.

 

although when you look at the radar, it looks pretty impressive over manchester way

 

also met claiming  threshold has been met 90% for freezing conditions,surprised it has not been reduced or more localized,unless the temperatures really do drop after this lot goes through.

Night all , got to dig car out early tomorrow (again)the snow rate must be an inch per 15 minutes just bonkers.

I wonder if it's snowed today in Glossop?

0.25cm of snow in my location, no falling snow.

 

everyone else around me getting hammered with accumulations increasing gradually.

Northerly winds continuing through the weekend, drawing in colder air. There will be a mix of sunshine and scattered snow showers, mainly around the coasts. Widespread overnight frosts.
