Just had another rather potent shower slide by to my west.  Nice cloudscape, indeed.

Huge snow/hail storm can through here about 20 minutes ago. Was in the car not far from home when it hit. All the main roads were suddenly white over and reduced to a crawl. Sun is out again now but that was a big one.

Hmm, just a couple of soggy flurries through here so far.

Wonder if we'll get your weather next Gord?

Looks like you have. We got lucky, it itensified before it go to us and then weakened between Brum and Solihull sadly. However, the nature of these showers means that any of us could still see an impressive squall yet.

Nothing has fallen from the sky today. It's been sunny and dry since the morning frost.

I have to say it's very cold now. Thermals will be needed for tomorrow's bike ride. Am so hoping that tomorrow nights ppn is snowy and that the progged temps are wrong. We've gotta catch a break sometime, haven't we?!

The Nevis Range looks in great shape.

Hi, tomorrow I will bringing my County Football team to play Derbyshire at Mickleover FC at 2pm.

The forecast isn't that good with rain due around lunchtime. Can you advise those in that region if it is likely to start as snow or just rain.

I have heard reports that it could be a snowy few hours ? Any thoughts please ?

all depends on the elevation of the location, if over 250m, then expect some transient wet snow, type postcode of location into google earth, to find out elevation

It'll almost certainly be rain at Mickleover which is barely 100m at best.

Even here I'm expecting only an hour or so of wet snow before it turns to rain.

Morning All

Just back from a frosty walk with a very excitable dog... Like it when we get a hard frost because at least the muddy paw prints are not too bad when we get back lol

Was in Stratford yesterday so missed out on the snow showers around home but STILL hoping to see some soon
