Yes it is. Same government region and same European MEPs. North Lincs is the Yorkshire and Humberside region (even though Humberside doesn't exist as as a county anymore - either returned to the East Riding of Yorks or unitary authorities of North Lincs (I.e. Sprunehorpe) and NE Lincs (I.e. Grimsby). So Lincoln is 16 miles from Newark, even Stamford which is 25 miles from here would technically fall under the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire thread. So what does the weather in Stamford have in common with the weather in NW Yorkshire when weather watching 150 miles apart?!

Well Leics & Derby have a lot more in common here, especially when Birmingham & Solihull are just 35 to 40 mins drive away.

For me you are going over the top on things as i said Stamford & yorkshire have now't to do with Leics & Derby... end of

Started again, but it looks very wet now. Hmmm. Don't you dare do any damage to my covering! And if there is any milder air to the north, stay put!

Ahh, I type that and it goes back to looking like proper snow...

Still coming down heavily here. Easily the best snowfall of the winter so far...passes the 13th January one.

Better get to bed before those further north start reporting sleet and rain!

That looks like sleet out there now, please not again! If you can't bring more snow just clear and freeze!

Stop it! We're not losing this one! Hold on in there!

It's eyes to the precipitation leaving the Scottish Borders and developing in Northern England for the East Midlanders 4-8am.

Yes, same here I'm afraid. Right now the snow already here is stable. Half a degree warmer, or slightly heavier rain, and it'll start melting. Wouldn't surprise me that much if it was gone by dawn. As with earlier in the week, I just don't have enough altitude here. Sigh.

Still belting it down here in Halesowen (B63) although looks like it may stop within the next 20 mins according to the radar.

Still, very happy with this and it's been lovely to watch, just hope it doesn't melt by morning!
