The Mod thread is like a ghost town? Usually its buzzing this time of day, what do they know they don't want us to know??

Hi all back from a long day :friends:

2.8C temp & 0C dew point going the right way - the frost in the morning was the hardest I've seen in over 2 years.

I really need to invest in a weather station. Looking at the stations around here, the temperature is probably around the 2C mark. Cloud pushing in from the south now.

This is no dig at anyone from the MO that offers input however one thing I have noticed over the years is when things are so marginal only a few put there neck on the line.

It's a bit like when someone offers up something sever that happens they will often watch from a distance for a day or two.

I fully admire those that do, can never be right all the time !!

Not really some people post in here day in day out that the world is going to end because they don't have snow, heavily indulge into every word and aspect the met say, and when a symbol changes on the met office they throw their toys out the pram. Hey ho.. So what if I'm easily pleased less hassle ;)

Well we still have the Euro4 v NMM (and in turn GFS) standoff I see

FWIW, Stansted Airport TAF is suggesting light snow between 1am and midday tomorrow

Similar suggestion for Luton

Heathrow and Gatwick are forecast Rain/Snow

So a bit of a mixed bag and in all honesty, as said yesterday, it's likely to come down to nowcasting (both temperatures and precipitation spread).

Keep an eye on those Dew Points everyone!

SK

how do I find out my dewpoint

You could use wunderground and search for the nearest station to you.

Overcast and cold, now 1c and dew point -1C

It's a shame that we won't be getting any precipitation up here!!!

Also thought this link may be useful to those without a weather station.

http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/

Hopefully it works ok.

Enjoy  :D

Sorry looks like WunderMaps has already been mention...doh!!!
