is Twitter robbing us of some interesting discussion and learning from threads such as the start thread?

It just seems that some of our more knowledgable folk are slipping over to Twitter and leaving us behind.... Or am I just being.......?

I wholeheartedly agree, well at least we can access their rambles. I think Twitter gives people the impression that it is more official - and international. No offence to the amateurs but I think they hinder the discussions which take place, constantly asking questions. On Twitter you can be selective and some thrive, it does not take much effort to replicate what is said elsewhere, onto this forum. If you have the time to tweet you can surely make the time to post on netweather.
