Some photos taken while messing around by a river today. Poor light is my excuse for them looking a bit odd, especially the colours, and some were taken as the light was fading.

Lack of posts says it all really. Didn't fancy this time round really

Well a fair few posts from those out west ! Still all light snow in Irvine, giving a dusting. When you think how north Ayrshire coast suffers from lack of snow in general in comparison to most other areas, this wee cold spell has been kind.

I get that jelly baby, as one who lives in a snow shield area I love seeing others get snow, but this has been border line from start for me and turning out that way. Few let downs recently and my usual optimism is dying quickly.

Perthshire gets loads, Perth struggles due to being in a bowl with mountains around

Like many places it is snowy in the right set ups....unfortunately with the mountains anything N NW just does not give us the goods....even NE struggles at times.....A direct W or direct E or even a SW in right conditions can be excellent....there are certainly a lot worse places....we have only had 2 days of lying snow this winter...still optimistic though....

It's all relative I suppose. I believe statistically Perth is Scotland's second snowiest city for average snow lying days, only behind Aberdeen albeit a long way behind.
