Heavy sleet just now. Is it true that even colder air is expected over the weekend?

Cracking big flakes in Glasgow too. Only been falling for about 20 minutes and there's a good cover already. Best snow since 2010 easily.

Sitting in Luxembourg airport waiting on flight home. Enjoying the snow reports. Fingers crossed for snow in Edinburgh later. I need it after a week of drizzly, mild, rubbish!

Snow right down to sea level, have a few cms lying currently, feeling very cold too.

Judging by the radar our snow seems to be coming in from Loch Lomond & the Clyde sea lochs direction. Should be more on it's way soon.

Yes its travelling North West to South East. I think the winds switched as it was going west at one point, very confusing!

Some of the showers over the West Coast/Argyll and the north coast of Ireland having some thunder in them and no doubt falling as hail or sleet.

It's all quite quiet here other than the odd moderate shower. The wind direction has changed to westerly with a slight southern bias though so we should start getting some heavy showers later.

Yes but the Trossachs seem to be eating the snow! It's better West to East as the hills don't swallow our snow!

That was a great shower earlier on. Everywhere covered in Grangemouth except the main roads. 0.7/-0.8. Temp up 0.2 and DP down 0.2 since I got in 44 minutes ago
