Nice powder snow(first this winter) showers settling and currently -0.5c. Well even with wet snow which settled and froze in December and now dry snow, this winter has far exceeded last year.

Turnip tops have nearly all been burnt off with frost this winter while last year they remained green all winter.Countryside is nearly all yellow/brown with bare frost burn.Much more seasonal

Huge flocks of geese and starlings in the fields just now and the huge crop of holly berries is disappearing.

Just been for a nosy out the back and have to say, despite plenty of snowy showers on and off all day, very little lying here. :(

Was some heavy snow in Glasgow for a while this afternoon. First falling snow I've seen for nearly 2 years!

Just the wrong side of marginal here...

I was out a walk with the dogs just there and managed to see the Snowline on the hill, around 150m, a very faint covering maybe as low as 120m.

Anyway, here at the grand total of 15m, it's drizzly sleet with big flakes mixed in. I'm sure the snow line will continue to drop but looks a bridge too far for me.

Glad others are enjoying their snow, you'll need to get up early in order to play in it.....but of course most of you are fully grown adults so wouldn't dream of doing such a thing ;) and if you were to do so it would be 'for the kids' 😂 (Remembers Catch's story of only a few weeks ago)

Started around 8pm here and we got a good 30mins of heavy snow.   Everything white except roads as the gritters were out in tandem.

Another wee light shower here. Nothing spectacular, but at least the gairden is turning white a bit. 1.7 C air T, but looks like a ground frost /snow hardening up developing due to the clear skies between the showers.

Lamppost in full swing the now, pretty decent covering too and some very very big flakes right now. Some of the biggest I've seen in years.

You think we'd be able to do better than this - Greek Island Tinos buried under few feet of Snow

Can just picture the holiday brochure "Sick of the lack of Snow, come to Greece and lap it up!"

That Greek island footage is just ridiculous...i live at 53degLat and haven't seen snow in nearly 2yrs...Greece regularly gets more snow than UK these days, what's gone wrong with this world..? wish it was the 70s/80s again...

Non event on the north side of Edinburgh. A wee bit of slush on top of car roof and that's it. Was expecting a bit more than that . South side of Edinburgh is a different story altogether probably

No sign of shower activity out in the Atlantic dying down anytime soon and if anything looking maybe a little stronger, showers maybe just starting to penetrate further inland now as well. Temperature u[p a little here to 2.4C but since the latest GFS doesn't show any marked rise till 3-6am I reckon it's just driven by the wind picking up a bit. DP still constant at 0C too.

Yep, just scored a direct hit from that Oban locale.  The showers weren't reaching this far not so long ago :)
