Crikey me! Pop to the shops 2 miles away snow falling roads clear. Come back up the A52 main road and it already has snow cover, flakes are massive

At 1cm here now and folk are starting to skid about on the roads.

I think the 400ft we are here is just tipping in our favour.

Looks very similar here.

No big flakes now though. 5p in size and moderate intensity.

Nope! just wait for round 2 to start :-)

Where's it going to come from? The radar isn't looking that great for here for much more. Not being argumentative by the way....it's a genuine question because there's a real good chance I've missed something! And I hope I have!

Please excuse me if I look a bit thick...and by all means have a go at me...but is that precipitation near the north Welsh coast now heading southeast?

Hard to tell but the low pressure area seems to be moving due east rather than SE ?

I don't think it is necessarily all over as it will pivot, so far it seems to me to have done exactly what I expected. Snow for my area was always predicted after midnight and so we could still see some flakes. The heavier stuff is moving into the areas that all the forecasts showed. I saw BBS, SKY and ITV forecasts and the all showed the snow for later in the evening for me. I said before I am not that optimistic as we are generally too low here but I do NOT get the pessimism from those in the north of the region who have seen some snow and now see it tailing off as that was always what was going to happen surely?
