Still snowing heavily. Hope we get a few more hours. It did stick very quick considering the amount of rain beforehand. Hopefully everyone will see snow tonight !!

So you wouldn't take a trough or low pressure development in the Irish Sea? :p

To be fair I would take anything that gives me a proper event, 6 years ago I would have give my right arm for a couple of inches of snow, the bar has been raised to 80s standard where between about early 80s to 88, the least I had was a 6 inch fall every year without fail, anyway even if places like yours and Liverpool miss out on the Intitial undercut and then the convection, something from the SW has to come up against the block eventually so you get a good few go's at snow!

You're not mate, you're JUST on the edge of PPN

people in lancashire aren't getting snow because the ppn is too light i think

2.5c and rain in Burnley after the football, gradually changed to sleet as we drove up the hill back home.

0c and full on snow at the summit and then back to more sleet when I got home.

Now it's turned completely to snow and everything is covered and still coming down heavy.

Second coveringl of the winter which is double last years miserable effort and heading towards the heaviest since Marxg 2013.

Flakes are massive, but It's just wet snow melting on impact

Good to see Wigan joining the party!

That's true, notably further north than all the models went for.

I feeling left out with everyone few miles south of me getting snow.  I'm disapointed. :(

Yeah that's about right. It should turn more to snow up there as the night goes. Snow reports seem to be slowly spreading eastwards
