Just snow here! This is the isolated band of showers but there looks to be a lot more upwind into the western isles ( for after dark) and maybe even a shot at that 'low' by midnight?

Good spot GW..But i'm not convinced it'll come our way..Probably more Irish Sea into Wales....Hope i'm wrong....

Just had a nice snow shower here, temp dropped quickly from 4c to 2c but only settled on the grass.

Nice snow pics Steve. This is the latest photo of 60cm of snow in 16 hrs with 30 more hrs to go

Is that now? Looks like some pics someones dug out from the "best snow storm ever". But if its in Queensbury, then I believe you.

Crazy heavy snow here.

Can definitely see how Sheffield saw such deep snow over such a short space of time.

Amazing pics.

Well done south Yorkshire!

That band looks like it may have set off a streamer. Its been snowing here for 30 mins now and accumulating on anything that was sheltered from direct sunlight earlier.

Surprise, surprise...the human snowshield aka me...is at it again, one snow shower last night for 20mins then it melted away...all the heavy snow f/cast for my area went south into Lincolnshire...where it's still feeding into, we have diddly squat in South Holderness, not even ice...and i bet when the wind turns northerly later it'll be sleet here on the coasts, so my winter so far is a disaster...same as the last, while everyone else geets snow, snow and more snow...i really despair...

seeing as we had warnings of 'troughs' potentially dropping south then the ingredients for a rogue low was there? pressure at its centre down to 966mb so its forming quite nicely? The lower the pressure falls the more it affects the cloud around it so the 'steady NW flow might be interrupted as it approaches bringing in showers that weren't expected or steering others away that were expected! The best would be either side of the low centre as there you'd get a couple of hours of white out conditions. I do hope that we are its target area!!!

good to read reports of heavy snow around Leeds. That band does look good on radar. Should catch us all as its country wide lol!

Been out clearing the snow but looking at radar and predictions tonight it might have been a waste of time haha!

Well started off with a dusting at 9am, but managed 10cm my 12pm, and 15cm in the higher up village (only by 60m). 20cm in places but probably wind. Got stuck under that streamer that seemed very localised. More snow on the radar by the looks of it!
