Do you guys ever sleep? this thread just keeps going all night! Fingers crossed I see some of the white stuff over the next few days EDIT.... Oh my goodness it's just started to snow lol

 Thats awesome. Big flakes here now and the dewpoint has dropped to 0c, so it's looking very good.

Currently snowing here and managing to stick. Seems a dusting was correct. as expected heaviest further east and north. Glad some have a good few cm;s from it :). Should clear in the next few hours

On and off sleet showers here, which is a disappointment I have to say. Was very confident for this cold spell but confidence is waning and I HATE SLEET! I would prefer rain to sleet but it seems to be the theme here this winter. In Doncaster on Thursday there was heavy snow from a south westerly but here it's rain from a northerly off the N Sea!

 

I give up!

About 1cm of slush in York - when I left the sleet was hammering down but it was still laying. Less at Linton...

 

NW radar shows it continuing with sleet but nothing doing atm.

 

Happy now though!

Seems to me a band of snow forming and heading south over Scotland.  Anyone any thoughts as to whether it will survive as far as Yorkshire?

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Remaining cold throughout with widespread frost. Further snow showers likely, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday when a northeasterly wind could help them move further inland.
