As feared, looks like it might just fizzle out before it gets there, Boo !! The Pennine shield doing the dirty

Perhaps, its probably just one of those days today where you just have to keep checking the radar. Still a chance of something coming though, all the way through tonight aswell. The METO forecast today for Yorskhire sounds quite good, accumulations on hills tonight for example. Lets hope for the best :)

well im not expecting anything anyway, METO say just rain for my location, lovely blue skies disappeared now though :(

Its turning milky here too. Its the approaching feature coming in from the west. we just have to hope it makes it. You may see some snow if we get showers this evening and tonight. The night will mean the snow level drops quite a bit and if the south can get snow to low levels today then certainly Yorkshire can :D

Yorkshire is such a big county though... I'd be surprised if we see any snow in either of my locations from tonights episode or later in the week. I fear for the recycling on thursday morning!

Unlikely to be any snow until later today, and by then shower activity is expected to die down a bit, so anyone will be very lucky to see anything more than a dusting. I think later this week, and into next week, things look more promising.

Looking at the NMM4 3-4pm today could be when we get some snow.

It has just begun to 100% snow lightly here although it is melting as it hits the ground.

Yeah looks very promising for the Pennine areas from dusk till dawn, its showing on there as Snowing all night, and radar does show its likely at least for the first half of the night. Only light / moderate snow falls so wont amount to much even if it does settle.

Already had snow showers around 11:30 here, they lasted 10 minutes.

Yes dissapointing so far. Its all gone south. Id be more dissapointed down there though as you can see its all rain! looks heavy around Derby area too so that would have been good.

It certainly feels cold out there, shame its all rain for England so far. Still warnings out for SW later today but if its rain up here what chance do they have? Were already in the cold air????

Well it's snowing here in grantham, with the temperature down to 2.5c and still falling r what was 6.5c earlier. Scrap that it was snowing, it has turned back to light rain now. What I have just had hear was better than anything we got last year, considering there was nothing wintry here at all last year.

I think overnight looks best bet. Sounds like showers and a few organised bands dropping through. I hope so.

METO have updated the yellow warning to now include North and West Yorkshire so thats good. Sounds promising at least :)

Really nice day love a winters day like this shame I'm at work. Very pleased reading the model thread looks like a nice Cold spell coming up. it's been a long wait but let's hope we can dig into thr cold and keep it that way for a while.

Rain today shows plenty of shower activity lots of promise for later this Evening for a light dusting for some of us West Yorkshire might just get lucky again.

Little bits of snow in the wind but the sky is completely clear. Very strange.

Not Home yet but Leeds Bradford airport weather station is showing a temp of 2.c and a dew point of -1 so that's looking good.
