Keep the faith peeps. Snow will come before Jan is out. This winter already feels a lot different to the last. Just a period of average cool wet and windy conditions to get through first. Patience required as ever...

Clear and frosty drive home from a night out. The roads were particularly icy here in Yarmouth. The drive home in frost covered trees and grass should make it more picturesque.

Morning everybody, a cool -4.2c here (according to a weather station up the road), everything is white out there, I had to take a doubl;e look because I thought it was snow at first. I heard a car slide down the road a little while ago, gritters rarely venture around here.

It got down to -4.8c at Charlwood according to the met office website - that's probably a record here for 2014!

-2.9c here!  Coldest temperature I've seen here since March 2013! Went out and everything is frozen solid. Winter wonderland!  :smiliz19:  Now if we could only persuade the Atlantic to have a nap until April, so we can have more picturesque mornings like this, rather than windswept, rain sodden misery! I'm going back under the duvet to thaw out!

Quite a hard frost -1.4C at 8:00am the road not exposed to the sun is still white giving the impression of a light dusting. bird bath is also frozen solid. All in all proper winter fare. 4th consecutive air frost here.
