I will be keeping an eye on the the development of that low, especially as I am heading north to Great Yarmouth on Boxing day.

Weather today is pretty grey and dull to be honest.

Wouldn't that air be cold enough for snow ? :smiliz19: 9.7c here, pressure steady, cloudy and breezy! :smiliz39:

Back-edge possibly

1-2 inches of rain from the accumulation charts from that storm.

156-602UK.GIF?21-6

50-60 mph mean wind speeds along the coast. Gusts of 80 mph perhaps  :smiliz23:

Back edge snow is so lame! :smiliz19:  But better than mild and stormy, not very festive! Hope the winds aren't as damaging as that! :smiliz23:

That looks to be a stormy day wind wise, guess which mug is working that day :help:

Seems to be getting a bit brighter here, still cloudy though.

Your cat looks peed off Daniel! :smiliz39: Is that a blizzard showing in the models now? :cc_confused::crazy:

Not really my cat :w00t:

Beautiful isn't it? Well the 27th we could have a feast of: Rain, Snow, Gales, Bitter windchill

For the past few days it has been modelled and not much has changed it would be extreme...

The sky is quite an incredible purple tonight. Annoyingly my camera won't capture the hue properly.

Cloudy temp 8.5, just breezy, occasional drizzle now and then.

Not looking forward to this storm unless it downgrades substantially. Hope they are right about the snow in the mod thread though.

What snow? :unknw: It was going to be cold, then it wasn't, then it was, now it isn't again! There is a storm some where amongst all this too! I think I'll do it the old fashioned way, I'll just look through my window from now until Christmas! From it I can see that it is cloudy and dry at the moment! :smiliz39:

The weather today was as close to nothing as humanly possible. 9C, slate grey skies and dry.

Got a couple more days of this but with milder temperatures before cold air sinks south east on Christmas eve.

Will do some fax charts later.

Christmas Eve  :w00t:

PPVK89.gif?31415

Moderate West to North westerly wind

Looks dry with good sunny spells. Note the low over northern Scotland, this will track south eastwards into the low countries. This may bring some wintry precipitation Christmas night into the day itself.

Temperatures - 6-8C

When the chart for Christmas day is out, then I will post that :)

Christmas day

PPVM89.png

Light northerly winds

Scattered showers along coastal areas, north Norfolk being most at risk. These may be wintry in nature.

Temperatures around 4-7C, frost early and late.

Hi CS,

Hi everyone, another winter, another round of snow watching.

Here in Yarmouth tonight it is freezing inside the house and the wind is blowing fierce outside.

A big hi to Piggy Palace, hope all is ok your end, got your message a LONG time after you sent it, we nearly lost Southernman he was in hospital for many weeks but has since recovered well. xx

Got to say Matt, you are one of the most reasonable and balanced posters here / and in the Model Thread. You know your stuff and deserved your Model Host promotion. Do you find it utterly frustrating posting your thoughts there though, at this time of year?

Something is wrong (and I say it sincerely and hope things can be turned around) with Netweather and I feel sorry for talented posters like yourself. The site owners must be aware of my unease about this site - they must be having the same thoughts.

Really good to see you posting again JennyJane. :) You've been missed and we were concerned.
