Whoa Tom, those pictures are stunning! Could you note any rotation or was it too dark to detect? Looks like a wall cloud though,

Miserable weather all day, mind you I would rather miserable but interesting rain than dry and cloudy!

There has been a strange outbreak of optimism in the winter thread which has me panicked though!

Nice out tonight, just a bit of cloud, gentle breeze, but mild! 12.5c! In total contrast to what's happening further south, flooding, thunder, hail and lightining! Welcome back alexis j9!

did no one see the storm that came in over the New Forest and Southampton at 5am?? you could hear it coming long before the rain which was torrential started then there was frequent lightning and thunder for about an hour!

Morning

A dull overcast start to the day here, no rain here but damp out due to the chill, 11.4oC out and 18.1oC in (21-22oC with the small storage heater as I am drying the washing inside)

Low down is the Peterborough (ish) storm. Not an exciting pic, just surprised to see the top of it.

The rain cloud over Northampton (allegedly former light storm according to the radar) dying out but still looking interesting.

An approx. 20 minute time gap.

All dry in MK again, so I cut the grass.
