yeah it does, and slap bang in the middle of the day.

 

last forcast i saw said bright start, rain through middle part of the day, then brightening up afterwards.

 

i'm looking forward to autumn showing it's hand, as nice as this extended summer has been, about time mum-ma nature woke up and realised she's over slept.

Another great day here, slightly damp start, think it was a heavy dew rather than precip caused though, things soon warmed up and some sunny spells when the cloud allows it, dry but a bit of a breeze, 19.9oC going by the shed sensor, think that may be the last time this year I see it that high.

Looks like all change from tomorrow. Coincides, as usual, with the start of the bonfire society processions and firework displays down here in deepest rural Sussex. Supposed to by dry tomorrow evening for the Northiam one, luckily. Nothing like a damp squib. Sunny on Sunday, but much cooler and apparently down to 5c in the early hours of Sunday morning. . Old shivery chap hasn't been out for a while.

If I had to choose between gales and heavy rain, or snow, this winter, I would have to choose snow!

Another mild night here, looking out I see the breeze has picked up, still dry and yes there was that ominous red sky this morning, signs and portents to the change coming in the weather, though judging by the forecast it is a shift to seasonal conditions.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Looking at the met office rainfall radar echo's for the past couple of hours indicates that precipitation is becoming less intense and more fragmented as it approaches the South-east.

Another very pleasant start to the day here on the Solent - dry, occasional sunny spells, up to 18C already ... shame its all about to change, it's been a fantastic year down here all the way from the first 20C early in March until right now, bar a couple of rogue weeks especially in August - one of the best years in the last 30. Autumn due to arrive within the hour...

Yes, can't complain about this summer, just been a little too humid for weeks on end, but apart from that, a much needed dry sunny one after last winter's horror show!

Looks like much of the rain has passed through here now (radar) and have to say the temp drop is rather noticable, gone from high teens to a current temp of 12.3oC in just a few hours.

Last week wasn't the last cut, so managed to squeeze in the grass for a haircut before the rains came.

Spent most of the daylight hours thus far assembling or dissembling my daughters new wardrobe.......pftdb.....

Off to take her in doors to hitchin to get odds and sods.

Luckily no footie this alvo as is persisting down.
