11.6°C and fine drizzle.

A classic one here. The MO warning was from 12:15am onwards, 15 to 25mm will fall in many places. Only 2mm has fallen here since midnight.

12hr rain accumulation map:

I've been in that big gap in the middle.

Most of the 9.6mm that I recorded to 09.00GMT fell before midnight and there's not been a lot since.  Will it come back to bite us later?

Likewise Gibby, only a few mil in the rain guage. Maybe more will come as it pivots later. Feeling chilly in a nagging breeze at 10.9C.

Cloudy and damp but not as much rain here as expected. Currently cloudy and windy at 10.7C

There's plenty in West Wiltshire now! After a surprisingly dry start to the day it's been pouring down since about 09.30 with the radar showing heavier pulses developing around Salisbury Plain and edging Westwards, while the whole mass of rain seems to be dumbelling around the LOW.

Light rain o/n and into morning, where it might have stopped for half an hour.

Since about midday it seems to have steadily pepped up.

6.3mm so far with a temperature of 10.1 min and 10.4max. .

So dull wet, cold and miserable all day.

Very much the same here, P.M. 4.2 mm of rain, the rain and drizzle persistent rather than heavy for much of the day.

At 350 m the mean wind speed is 31 mph and there was a gust of 54 mph at 1615 g.m.t; some of the trees have lost all their leaves on the windward side today.

Rain rain rain! Moderate with heavy bursts most of the afternoon and all evening. Been watching the weather radar on and off and though the low is slowly moving north the rain has spiralling south over the midlands and down to us in Glos the whole while. Be nice to have a snow event like this in the coming months...

Anyone up for a 48 hours all weekender this weekend, might as well won't get any sleep that's for sure, save money for your hols in late October and just spend it in the tropical midlands.

Whats  youre  problem with the weekend weather, lots of cloud and wind will make it feel pretty cool despite a warm surface temperature.! It all gets swept away by a cold front late weekend .....and as always the devil will be in the detail..... :clapping:  :nonono:

I think the word for today's rain is persistent. Has rained pretty much all day but mostly lightly with the odd heavy burst. I was expecting worst. It was still vile though. 13.5mm in total.
