Best of the action will be Bournemouth and East- mainly slow moving rain showers.

Hmm not sure on that, currently that is the case but maybe not later.

Hi William, im on holiday in Dorset near Weymouth at the moment, I noticed on GFS last night a decent wind convergence over Southern England so a decent trigger should be in place on top of any surface heating. Nice blue sky here currently.

Yes, I am waiting for this "trigger" though it doesn't seem to be "triggering" at the moment, there's too much patchy low cloud.

It looks like I'm not going to see anything today, well the BBC graphics are just too wrong.

Cold front is producing some pretty heavy showers in a line up from around Bristol to south-west Scotland. Might be some isolated thundery downpours in the north pennine region.

Just had a really heavy shower here. No thunder but that was a short, sharp beast

Unseasonably cool & showery theme continues, wet & windy but milder this weekend

Chilly with sunshine & showers by day for the rest of the week, where skies clear at night a frost is likely too. Turning wet & windy over the weekend, but at least it will be a little warmer. Read the full update here
