We have had a few rumbles and one almighty crash of thunder but it seems to have calmed down a bit now.....

damp morning here, been raining for the last hour now, some heavy bursts, as a result it is very dull and cloudy, not too windy thus far, just breezy.

After a calm, warm and overcast early morning, it is now raining heavily here and the SE wind has suddenly sprung up strongly. Hoping to get some storms here today!

Dull and grey here, with light drizzle, bit breezy, but not much to talk about.

Chucking it down here now, hammering against the front windows but not much yet in the way of wind.

morning south east and south central folk....

here's the latest snapshot from the v6 radar showing the current state of play...some very wet weather on it's way for eastern parts of the region as embedded convection is developing along the cold front with cells organizing themselves into lines along the cold front...some lightning strikes detected to the south west of the region, also quite feasible for heavy showers and some thunderstorms to develop in the post frontal air mass

calm here now, rain almost stopped and looking at the radar the bulk of it has passed through here with the remainder being either side of this location as it moves up the country.

Wind is definitely picking up and with the rain, it sounds like winter out there.

Tropical intensity style rainfall here in Twickenham for the past hour. I would estimate at least an inch of rain has fallen here since 8am.   :)
