So.....all things considered then, the  Met Office warning of isolated thunderstorms seems to have been pretty much spot on if reports here are to be believed ?

back from party in the park (local) and that could have done with a good storm to finish it earlier.

 

Very warm and humid here, no wind and dry but cloudy (should help keep the heat in overnight)

Back from my viewing point! Quite a nice lot of lightning but all sheet lightning and if there were CG bolts I missed them while sorting out shutter on camera, as per usual I miss them in between leaving the shutter open for periods. So I took video instead, and finally caught the last big flash of the storm, will extract the frames and post here in a few. (I did speak too soon earlier about having no storms!!! However the track of the storm was about the usual path, despite being west to east today, and has again fizzled out over Ipswich.

 

EDIT: appalling captures, not worth posting, quite disappointed.

Morning all

 

after a humid night we have opened the day to a humid morning here, there was some overnight rain, does not look like much fell, had the windows open all night and never got woken by anything, even had the cooler fan running, not often I reach that stage.  19.3oC in the shed right now.

We must of had some rain ..some of the cars look wet..but the ground is dry. Heavy cloud, broken above my house hahah. Thought I saw a few flashes before I dropped off to sleep but no thunder.
