Find the BBC ones are an age behind all the others

Their lead-in times are long; I don't know whether it's still the case, but last thing I heard the 6.30 p.m. forecast was done using data from the morning.

Surprisingly gusty here. Have had to tie down a few things!

Wind has dropped here, it is getting cloudy though! Is that rain from the east still due tomorrow? One minute I am forecast heavy rain, then no rain, now it is light rain!

Still pretty windy. Enough so the cat refuses to go out (he hates it blowing his ears!). I see the thunderstorms forecast for me on Sunday have been downgraded :(

Been so windy here my pond plants keep blowing over and my squash frame's been swaying so I put some hooks in the fence and tied it to it.

Other than the wind it's been quiet pleasant here and I need a dry Sunday please, well at least near Guildford.

I'm at my mother in laws on Sunday and don't want to be stuck indoors all day especially as she has a nice large garden so my daughter's dogs can run around. 5 Adults and 2 dogs in a small 2 bed bungalow isn't good. I know I've done it before.

I'd like a nice day down at Greatstone too on Saturday as I'm back at mums on the beach again. British beaches are miserable when it's wet.

But alas I seem to have rain forecast every day for the next few days.

When's the next batch of sunny weather due?

sloping off to bed, too tired to argue anything now,  it may be sunny with snow but more likely cloudy with rain.

Morning all.

The weather is pretty dire here. Looks like the front will stall over us so it will be a case of how long it takes the front to fizzle and break up. But today does look like a write off.

Next week looks good for fans of the traditional summer heatwave with heights building to the East/South east of the UK.

Did it rain last night? The wind got up and it started to get cloudy, but it looks as dry as a bone out there.

There is a line of cloud then blue sky. guess where the line sits? right above my house. I had no idea the storm shield was on my roof.

Weird how that band of rain in completely stalled. I can see the clouds from it miles away, but it is holding around just before Maidstone.

Can't believe how rubbish this summer has been so far in the east midlands.  sunshine has been in short supply for sure and the usually unsettled west of the country and wales have been getting the most settled weather rather than the east and south east.  This summer is turning out to be nearly as monotonous as the winter we just had.

Roll on winter, unless it is like last years, which was awful!

So is that currently stalled band of rain going to unstall and move east later?
