We did I'm afraid. Could see it and hear it but couldn't get to it. We came very close though. I turned down a chance to go into Birmingham this evening as well.

Well that was a decent little storm. Only lasted 20 minutes or so but I counted at least 12 lightning bolts, including 5 or 6 that were fork - a couple of which let rip some proper shotgun thunder. The rain was the heaviest since El Brumo back in June 12.

I used to live in Brownhills and of course there are reports of thunder and lightning there now. We got side swiped a couple of days a go as well. Now had 3 rumbles in 5 days. So infuriating.

Very heavy hail shower just blown through. Set a few car alarms off. No electrification though, but the hail more than made up for it. A nice end to a frustrating day of radar watching! :) :)

Brief heavy rain and Hail which also set my Alarm off. No Thunder though. 4mm of rain in about eight minutes.

I'm expecting the line of showery rain currently approaching Lincoln to have died a death by the time it gets here in an hour or so but the way the last line of showers pepped up over us gives me some hope :)

Convection is still going here, I can see the cumulus clouds bubbling straight up vertically.
