A storm did just pass pretty close here, a few decent rumbles from the west, and some welcome rain, though nothing torrential. That particular storm cell has died out now though. It did look very unstable in the clouds though, some rotation in there.

Looking south, there are less thundery looking clouds so it might have been the last one in the line.

Judging by what's starting to come out of France now, looks like the West of the country may not be getting much sleep tonight.

Yeah a storm just went past here, we were on the edge but very frequent thunder and lightning, with the rain and hail coming down in sheets! Was very nice to see!

For people wanting to track storms this website is the best for tracking real-time lightning strikes. It was posted earlier, in case you missed it!

It's incredible that the Met Office have not issued one severe weather warning for Wales?! I remember when the Met Office dishing out warnings right left and centre. Has the policy changed? Edited by Weather-history

Lights just flickered sounds like a shotgun being fired followed by deep long rumbles! Been a while since we've had anything like this in West Cumbria.

I am not begrudging west they missed out when us on east coast got thunderstorms.

Very jealous of everything on the other side of the Pennines from me grrrr but glad to see explosive thunderstorms in the UK again after last year

Not everyone on this side of the Pennines is getting something. I got a feeling some parts of NW England are going to miss out again.
