Judging by the Radar, cells are developing all across the Northern coast of France heading this way. Definately a long night to come :)

Trains cancelled from Llandudno to Holyhead due to problems with the signalling system after a lightning strike. It really was an amazing thunderstorm.

Cells developing across North France now and that band to the west is still going strong.

Much taller deeper grey cloud currently rolling through. Very gusty but a warm wind. This is all coming up from the south.

Showers continuing in western Britain. Mostly fine elsewhere.

This Evening and Tonight:

Further scattered, perhaps thundery showers are expected during the evening, mainly across western parts of the UK, continuing through the night in the southwest. It will be largely fine and mild elsewhere.

Tuesday:

Thundery showers most probable across parts of Wales, central and northern England, then southern Scotland later. Warm sunny spells in-between, but feeling chilly near northeastern coasts under low cloud.

From the Met office!

PERHAPS THUNDERY SHOWERS?

Hey yeah, it's almost here, creeping ever towards me. Think I may be in a good position for later. Just had a very quick temperature drop as well which is strange. only a matter of time.

Another cell developed in the same location.

You might Get Lucky Posted Image tonight though, plenty of time left and especially further west, these storms could well linger on through much of the night :) Don't give up!

Nope. Cooling off rapidly here now and lots of cloud cover. Probably the best chance in 10-15 years for us here and still nothing. The Cheshire Storm Shield never fails. Not being pessimistic, that's just how things run around here.

If you are "Very" storm starved like my wee self or are waiting for the sparks tonight here is a streaming webcam to keep an eye on in Downtown Kiev. Getting increasingly darker as Supercells move into the City!

There's plenty going on down south which could well find its way up to you. Cloud cover right now doesn't matter :)

Someone confirm that strike in Kent? Sat24 and rain radar suggest nothing?

Nothing, but there are developments far far to the south

Little cells popping up all over the West Midlands now. One little potent cell has skirted just to my west. Intense cell to the W of Birmingham looks to be making a bee line.
