Evening all....

Well today was far from the forecasted washout I was watching on the BBC yesterday.

Damp and cloudy start to the day, but really brightened up around lunch, but was still very breezy and felt cool in it. From 3ish we have had regular heavy showers. Clear now though, but high level cloud shooting by.

Just dropped off husband at Gatwick and it was SO windy out, my hair was almost vertical in the breeze at one point. Very grey and gusty back in Surbiton. Dog nearly got whacked by the door as it was buffetted by the wind; one of our garden chairs went over in yesterday's garden action, so all in all plenty of breeziness around.Heading off to the Mermaid Theatre in London for Autisms Got Talent rehearsals ahead of the show tonight; my son is dancing this year, having sung last year, he is incredibly lucky to be performing. Kind of stuck between the love storms but not that convenient for wandering around Blackfriars, so I'm not sure what to wish for!Have a good weekend everyone.

Maybe a bit late, but all the best to your son SR. I'm sure he will do great and make you very proud.

Evening all. A few showers but nothing drastic. Had more thunderstorms during the winter than we have had in Spring so far. heh.

What did I just write in the MAD thread, oh man, has it come to that :p

He has left the forum, for good, which is a shame. Good to see you back JP :good:

Been watching Badminton Horse Trials all afternoon and looking very windy and a bit damp there. Remains dry but very windy here.

Which TV channel was that then? Am watching the highlights today. Yep weather looked pretty bad for them- only half the Xc entries got round. Tough course but I don't think the squalls helped and took some much needed puff out from the horses at some critical fences. Very squally afternoon here in newbury yesterday - I know as it interrupted my afternoon nap! ;) rain particularly noisy on the window as it hit horizontally on!

Looks like some more rain was had overnight here, some drizzle earlier and still that wind, feeling a tad cooler as well.

BBC Red Button (channel 301 on Freeview so you can record it like I did), they showed (between technical issues) the whole days running, just over six hours in total.

Remains windy here with some light rain/drizzle in the air, has been quite bright though.

Breezy, cloudy, 14.2c! Pressure is suppose to be building next week, bringing a few days of summer with temps in the 20's!

I am praying we have a lovely hot July and August :)

Another decent summer like last year would be welcome. Or was only half of it decent? I remember it hitting 34c in July though! :)

Still mainly dry here, had a wander to the next village and back, wish that wind would bugger off though.

No storms ty just hot days and nights to enjoy my holidays :) lassie July was outstanding last year got a lovely tan from holiday and that was in selsey :)

Recorded the hottest temps of last summer in July! It got pretty toasty in London, being in Selsey must have been far more pleasant! :) Don't know if anyone has made a long range summer forecast for the SE this year! I ignore the Daily Express which always gets it wrong!
