For the past three years SkyWarn UK has sent a small team out to the States to assist with the tracking and notification/warning of severe or potentially severe weather.  Of course to do this we have to chase storms  even though we're not primarily a stormchasing organisation. We do this under the banner of SIStERS which is an acronym for SkyWarn International Storm Emergency Responders.
SIStERS1 was in 2012, SIStERS2 in 2013 and this year SIStERS3 will be flying out to Dallas on the 19th May.

If you are interested in following us then we will be blogging and if all goes well will also be on Ustream.  You will also be able to follow our progress (or lack of!) on GR3.

Further details will be posted on our blog on the run-up to the 19th May and of course we will be updating at least once a day together with pics and vids.  You can sign up for email alerts each time we update our blog by clicking on the follow link on the bottom right hand corner of the page.  The blog can be found here  http://membership853.wordpress.com/2014/04/

Here's hoping for an active 2 weeks! :drinks:

With only 12 days to go, excitement is mounting amongst the SIStERS chase team. We've now published details of how to follow us on our blog http://membership853.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/twelve-days-to-go/

Good luck Jacquie and good to see Tony is with you for a spell. Don't run into any news crews though - Tony loves the cameras :air_kiss:
