So I do need to dig out the thermals for Saturday's bus-conducting job, then, John? Routemasters are pretty, but it's damn cold standing guard on the platform.

Last one from me before I climb the wooden hill to bed.... Very calm and clear outside. But looking at the lamp posts there seems to be a mist forming.

Night all

hi cr

a difficult call at present re saturday

the uppers are certainly cold but if we can avoid cloudcover

the sun should keep the temps around 12-13 degrees

if we keep cloud these could be a few degrees lower

will be able to be more accurate tomorrow :)

My name is not John but my Dad's name is John :D It will be a cold start to the day wrap up warm. You will need some layers. Temperature peaks at 12c which is not warm. We have just had a blackout which has effected the whole neighbourhood even lasted for 2m, not normal for Central London. post-19153-0-47685100-1398806750_thumb.j post-19153-0-07324200-1398806773_thumb.j

Morning all. I don't post much on here just lately but have just read CK's post and felt I had to respond.

Congratulations to all concerned Kerry. To the steward who hopefully has saved a life, to you as an Uncle yet again and of course to the newborn twins and their undoubtably proud parents. Never a dull moment in your life is there !!

Weatherwise it's been a case of close but no cigar in my neck of the woods in the last few days. Plenty of convective activity and a few thunderstorms but unfortunately they were all out of my reach, being to the south and west of me here in North West London. It's been a lively month in that respect though so hopefully more to follow in the summer.

Take care and be lucky folks. :hi:

Morning all, foggy start here.

That is quite a story Kerry, definitely one to warm the hearts and give some faith in man kind :)

Morning all,

Left Barnehurst this morning in fog, got off the train at Waterloo East to warm bright sunshine.  Just a shame I am chained to my desk at work!

Have a good day

Mornin each. Bit murky and muggy in Ippy this morning but with that sweet, fresh scent in the air. :)

Great story, CK. I hope that mans efforts weren't in vain. And congrats' on the twins. :)

Have a good day, everyone.

Same experience as Snow Raven this morning, got up to murk and definite pea soup over the Thames at Kingston, by the time we drove through Heathrow the sun was out, and now my office is warming up a little too much from the direct sunlight but there is that slightly hazy look hovering over the trees outside. Lovely. Also lovely was CK's story:)

After missing all the action yesterday with a largely sunny afternoon, today is off to a flying start with sunshine once again. Was very foggy when I got up at 7 this morning but that all burned off pretty quickly. Feeling almost summerlike.

Just a quick update on my previous post, the hero who preformed the immediate CPR was a fireman who was sitting two rows behind the victim, he was replaced by the medical team within minutes of the heart attacked occurring, and it appears that the victim is recovering well in hospital, without the fireman's immediate and prompt response then the outcome would have been different. The fireman is such a modest individual who is embarrassed by the number of posts congratulating him, he reckon's he was just doing his job. So nice that there are these sorts of people about, especially when you think its those first few seconds / minutes that is the difference between life and death.

Nice and sunny in horrible Harlow, have a good afternoon.

Edit

Unbelievably this was the second time in 6 months this has occurred at Charlton, the time before the man collapsed in the toilet and 2 fireman revived him along with the medical staff. Think if you going to have a heart attack, a football ground seems the place to do it.

Nieces names are Lillian and a Poppy.

Shower clouds appear to be building now, in dirty Dartford, I get around don't i.

Afternoon all

Sunny and dry here after a cool misty start, and not much in the way of a breeze so feeling quite pleasant in the sunshine.

Glad to hear all appears to have turned out well CK and nice news on the twins :good:

Hope you all have a fabbo day :)

Just got back from town. It's so warm and muggy here and some BIG clouds building up. It definitely looks promising. :D

Could've sworn I heard thunder, must've been coming from that one going out to sea now from Whitstable :)
