Rather cool and cloudy with some showers today though the sun made it's first appearance just in time for finishing work whey.Hoping this weekend's weather front's can keep held back with the high pressure upgrading as another cool/poor weekend would be very disappointing considering Friday's looking very decent indeed.

Last weekend just gone was t poor at all in the end! Just wish we would seeSome real heat. Temperatures just seems stuck in the low 20s for us all this year. :(

Mid 20s Saturday..a few overnight rumblers into Sunday? Humidity on the up, makes a change to see weather coming in from the east or southeast.

Always a fascinating setup. The charts a few days ago would have folks screaming. "Imagine if it was January" well it isn't, it is July. I say fascinating because it is for here.. Anyway, guess what? I have another party on Saturday, looks like an all-nighter again too. This time, however, it is at a friends house, with a log fire heated hot tub right by a river- wouldn't mind some decent weather for that. ;)post-15177-0-95650400-1404865844_thumb.j Edited by Mapantz

Nice day today. Nice today and tomorrow that the East will be much cooler for a change. Quite gusty tonight though.

Turned out nice late on after a rather cloudy breezy, cool day. Lovely, sunny evening.

This morning's forecast  from the Met' looks as though the GFS was right all along and the rain won't make it this far west, well very little of it.

I'll leave you to imagine how disappointed I am.

Metoffice has issued a warning for rain for the east midlands but the front is really struggling to move past Peterborough at the moment!!just 2 days ago it looked like most of the midlands would be cool with heavy rain but it looks completely different now!!Blue sky sunshine here in south east leicester at the moment!!

It was always going to be a narrow slow moving band and so only a relatively small area affected, it would not take much of a shift west for the East Midlands to be affected this afternoon, but you may well escape until later on.

Ideally that rain will stall right on top of Trent Bridge for a few hours, give our jaded bowlers a chance of a breather!

Temp is now 21 degrees here nearly 22 and beautifully sunny!!was meant to be raining today but it just hasn't happened!!

It was one of those where you had to keep checking the forecast. The MO weren't sure how far West the front would go unfortunately. The NMM yesterday, was off the scale with rainfall totals. Today, it has more than halved totals- still very wet for some though.

Stunning day, was expecting more cloud despite the warmer temps encroaching - fair breeze too, expecting a 24C somewhere today I'd imagine.

I'll go for Bournemouth for 25°C It's topping the table at the moment- just hit 23°C here.

Quite a rare set up to have Cirrus visible to the West and East courtesy of both fronts while in between it's clear, warm, sunny and breezy.

Perfect summer day here. Clear skies bar a band of cirrus to the east, and a little breeze too. 25C just been surpassed.

Exactly the same here, one band of cirrus passed over quickly at midday but cleared behind it. Now 23C- what does it take to get a 25C here this year? Had plenty of gorgeous sunny days that you'd put money on to do it, yet none reached it.
