Hard to call really,cant help thinking bit of altitude will help,defo  a decent 200m and above will see a covering imo..

I'd say the chances of low lying parts of the region seeing snow tomorrow evening and through the night is the highest its been all season. A lot will depend on the intensity of the precipitation, but I think the Meto are expecting some very heavy showers which will aid evaporative cooling and pull temps down to the right side of marginal for relatively low ground - 50m perhaps. Above 100m especially away from the coast showers are likely to fall as snow with slight cover in places, more so the higher up you are.

 

We do very well in these kind of set ups - thanks to the proximity to the Irish Sea and the fact we have a 900m mountain range to our west - the air is chilled considerably as it moves over the western fells, thus central parts of the Lake District are often plagued by very heavy snow showers. We got very lucky on the 31st and that was from a warm frontal attack with much more marginal conditions at the surface - 2cm cover.

 

Tomorrow evening could be fun and games in this thread for those looking for snow.

Made a nice change to have a frost this morning, -2.0°C. probably the coldest we've had all season!

Will be interesting to see if there's any snow tomorrow.

47 m for me thought I was 60 , definitely won't get snow now I've lost 13 metres !!!....(at least I'm higher up than sparkles) !!........
