You're not reading the Antarctic diary of Mr Chippy, are you?

Curled up on the sofa with a hot choccy watching ice road truckers :-)

I have adorned the sofa (and bean bag for that matter) this evening, and watched worlds end again, curled up too, was nice :)

no I am not a girly bloke but I do know what is comfort when it is available (and I will take it, have no doubt about that)

Want to share this

my male adopted and apparently abused Cockatiel has finally slept with both eyes closed when I was present, taken nearly 5 years to get him to relax and be comfortable here, think I am winning his trust at last (like I said before, he is not a bad lad, he just needs a home and trust).

Stopped raining here for now.

My goodness - a picture really does tell a thousand words - shocking map. My location is one of the few spared flooding in the SE and EA. Poor people.

Been raining here since 4 o clock today (relentless) still a heavier band to come through yet!!! what a wet winter , in 40 years cant remember anything like it... even in the mildest of winters we had a few flakes of snow, this year is not looking good for us is it ???

Ugh the band of rain has just connected with the stuff coming from the west, typical, I was hoping there would be a little break even if only for half hour or so.

Yep it's still moving east but now the other stuff has connected, so for us over here no break in between.

"Ho Hum tiddly pom"  said Pooh"I'm afraid,  Piglet my friend, that it is now time to deploy the tertiary flood defence as the wind is blowing the rain in at an unusual angle....again!

Piglet: "well Pooh, we already have the aluminium slats (Primary) in front of the UVPC doors (secondary - but warped) so whatever  next?"

Pooh to Piglet: "I'm afraid we now we have to enlist the "Towel tower" (tertiary) to mop up the floor. Thankfully my honey stash is not required.".xxxx

I'm hoping those squally features in this next lot of stuff fad before they get here, not sure I want the wind bumped up more then it is now for starters and nobody including where it is falling now needs such heavy rain.

Luckily I live in a place not prone to flooding. I haven't known a winter like this to be honest. it's pouring down yet again, and has been for most of the last 48 hours. Enough now please. Posted Image
