I'll be hitting the sack about 2am and hope to see the ppn make more progress towards our shores. At present, Bristol, Bath & Swindon have had snow. Reading is now in the firing line. What's really impressive is the ppn following behind Posted Image

Looks as though that shower West of London won't actually make it to London, but the main trough looks a thing of beauty, good luck suvverners, I'll cry myself to sleep in Hull.

I'm getting concerned for you guys, precipitation was meant to be already touching the Oxford area by 3am. I think it will be at least 7-8am until you guys see the first hints of that band in London, in which case sunrise accompanied with slightly warmer dew points could turn it back to sleet/rain. There seems to be a dry line just to the east of Wales, blocking the progress of that precipitation.

post-2587-0-36975900-1390797369_thumb.pnThe ppn running from Swindon southwards is heading ESE at a decent rate and intensifying with each run... Shame it looks like it will skirt South of me, but good luck everyone to the S and S/W of London and here's hoping that it keeps building!

Dry here in Reigate, +1.5c, dewpoint 0c.

Raintoday radar shows what was some lively looking precipitation to the west fading as it heads south east and looking like it will be going well south of London, that's if it hasn't expired completely by the time it gets here. Shame, as it's cold enough for snow.

Morning AS

Well I sent the cat out to see if she came back with a coating of snow, but alas she came back the same she went out.  Just had a look at the radar and everything seems to be fading when it moves across from the west country.  Temperature is reading 2.4c with a dew point of -1.7c so if anything did get here there might be a bit of white stuff.

A mainly dry night here a quick snow flurry around 4:30am. Temp now 2.2c. Not that much precipitation seems I'm in the dry corridor and fizzling out to the north and south of here anyway.
