Overcast and windy this morning with sleet at first, reverting to rain by mid-morning and with some short spells of heavy rain at times.

The rain became lighter and intermittent early in the afternoon and then cleared to the east by mid-afternoon allowing the cloud to break, and a few short sunny intervals. As the rain cleared the strong S wind veered W and decreased to f4-5.
